I am down with a bad cold. No fever, but it has taken several days to develop. My nose hurts, my ears hurt, and my throat hurts. I have the beginning of a nasal headache, and I've been spitting brown for days.

But no fever yet.

And still riding to work.




In other news, Jill has finally found a place where she belongs.

I wonder if she misses Jack.

Jack and Jill were part of a bathing kit I bought for Mabel back in 2002. It comprised a bathtub, a life-saving buoy, and the two rubber ducks. They are tiny. Mabel ate Jack, I rescued Jill, and she's been lonely ever since.

Everything is meant to have a companion, even tiny yellow blue-eyed rubber ducks, I think.

Boy everything is so fuzzy today ....
