I don't get the irritation over tissue paper packets at hawker center tables.

They are the visual equal of saying "I got dibs."

Seriously, what is so hard to understand? If you lose a pack of tissue, it's worth nothing. But if you put something more expensive to reserve your seat, it's gone forever.

Should I put all my shit on that table?

My pet peeve with your pet peeves, Singapore! So am I an ugly Singaporean now, or just an averagely smart human being?

Deal with it, losers who didn't make it to the spare table first. The best part is, you didn't have the nerve to throw away that pack of tissue, seeing as how ANYONE could have done it.

A dollar and less of civil disobedience is worth more to you than pride of place second. How competitive are you now?

Chew on that. I won't bother because I'd never put myself in that situation.


Anyway, not every thing that makes it into mass media is really that important. You also have to remember, the media owners have the power to shape any subject to any angle they want. In this case, I believe it an obtuse way to tell Singaporeans, stop complaining, and instead just do something.


Make a difference, quit, leave, go away, solve the problem, quit faffing around, just stop showering everybody else with your problems.

Or needs.

That said, I know there's a lot of you out there who already are dealing well with whatver problems in life you face. And moving on.

Good for you, and I recognise how hard it has been to have to get there.

It looks a lot less bright in person.

I finally have it, after one year since I thought of having it.


After spending an agonising 10 minutes with Desmond at Fall Factor, I realised that I've lost the ability to talk to just anyone.

I already know why.

Some day, another day, I shall talk about it.
