Ok here's another idea for the strip.

Two, actually.

First of all, since it's called generically 'The Strip' I don't need to have any recurring characters. Like Seinfeld, it can be the first strip about nothing.

Second, this idea I have for a weekly series

Panel 1: This is Kona, the singing scorchbrite.
Picture of Kona in coattails - Balloon - "I can sing Figaro in 22 languages!"

Panel 2: Giant hand sweeps in and grabs Kona.

Panel 3: Background, sparkling toilet bowl. Foreground, wrung out Kona on the floor. Overhead "Sometimes, I know just how Kona feels."

You know what's so funny about this strip? 'Figaro' in Italian sounds exactly the same as any of the other 21 languages.

Well, you know, the first verse, anyway.
