Take a few risks.
Offend a few people, or be a doormat forever.
Break a few hearts, or get broken first.
Take the chance that I might die, and I might get to live a little.
My life has been far too safe these last few years.
It's time to let go.
That is what this trip is about.
Maybe I'm kidding myself that nothing will ever be the same after I come back from this one... That things will be the same as always.
But that's what it's all about.
As they say in Star Trek, I will "make it so."
And I don't even like Star Trek.
