Anyway, my pet now has a pet.

I named her Maybelline, in memory of Mabel.




Of course, Dusky went nuts the moment he saw her. I think he has a ginormous crush on her. He just can't wait to get his paws on her, and lick her silly, and kiss her body all over ... smoochy smoochy

She's totally bo-chup about the fact that there's a hungry cat inches from her. Either she has super poor eyesight, or she's been manhandled to the extent that she doesn't give a shit who tries to mess with her. She's scratched/bitten Dusky's nose everytime he gets too close, but always been fine with my fingers.

Perhaps it is the indifference that gets to Dusky. When she does pay him any attention, it is to scratch or bite him. As a warning, I imagine.

Good lesson for all you girls out there.





He's been off his food. I learnt that all cats, including strays, who should know better, prefer live food. Even if they had perfectly delicious canned food in front of their noses.



He got so tired while stalking her, he fell asleep. So cute right.





But that all had a reason to be. He's so enamored of her, he's quit disturbing me all day. How do cats manipulate their owners? By miaowing the shit out of them. Which he did. I just didn't have the heart to punish him.

With Maybelline around, I have a break. He hasn't bothered me for 2 days.


So I have given him a new theme song.




Anyway, she's a winter white pearl, at least that's what the pet shop label says.

But a closer look says she's pudding winter white. Which means either she has campbell ancestry somewhere in her lineage, or she's a mutated strain. That accounts for the makeup colours on her white coat, of browns and golds.



Maybe she's born with it.

Maybe it's Maybelline.
