"Somehow, I was rather sentimental tonight in the sad way, probably because of them ugly hills and spent a good time consoling myself that this trip would soon be over and I don't have face too many nights alone with no one to talk to again. This is the worse part I guess of cycling alone... the end of the day with nothing to look forward to but a sleeping bag." Tzuo Hann Law's latest entry on his epic (20,221 km, so far) ride back home to Malaysia from USA.

At least he can stop cycling.

Here's why I am suited for a solo bicycle expedition tour:

I like potatoes
I enjoy eating peanut butter sandwiches.
I can barely cook but when I do it involves baked beans in every way possible.
I am accustomed to going boldly nowhere.
I have no one to talk to so won't miss anyone at night.

That's not true. I do miss someone.

ln other news I'm writing this entry from my phone, from my bed via bluetooth.

Can't sleep you see. lt is my last day of work for the year. Í spent it designing
a new magazine title that will launch next year.

Then i went to have a drink. Such a lot of grief for this year alone. How can i bear next year. But i am older now and will employ tactics.

Such as no more Silje.
